Matty Flip: A Signature Freestyle FPV Move

Common Mistakes to Avoid

6.1 Overshooting the Flip

  • One common mistake is overshooting the flip, where the drone gains too much altitude during the backward approach and overshoots the obstacle. This happens when too much throttle is applied during the backward flight or the flip.

How to Fix: Practice reducing throttle during the approach and flip to maintain a lower altitude. Focus on keeping the drone close to the obstacle.

6.2 Inconsistent Throttle

  • Another mistake is inconsistent throttle control during the flip, which can cause the drone to lose altitude too quickly or stall mid-flip.

How to Fix: Work on maintaining a steady throttle input during the flip. Gradually increase throttle as the drone completes the flip to ensure a smooth recovery.
