Tight Turns (Slalom Flying)
Slalom flying involves flying in and out of obstacles in quick succession. This is crucial for drone racing or navigating tight spaces in real-world applications like inspections or search-and-rescue operations.
How to Perform Tight Turns:
- Start by flying straight toward a marker (like a tree or pylon).
- As you approach the marker, yaw in the desired direction and apply slight roll to shift the drone to the side.
- Quickly alternate between yawing left and right as you pass through a series of obstacles.
Practice Tip:
Set up small obstacles like cones or poles and practice weaving between them to sharpen your reflexes and maneuvering skills.
