Drone Piloting: Basic Concepts
Flying in Different Conditions
A drone pilot must handle more complex environments and conditions:
- Wind: Even mild wind can impact flight. Learning to compensate for drift is crucial.
- Obstacles: When flying around trees, buildings, or other structures, be aware of potential turbulence and GPS interference.
- Indoor Flying: Without GPS stabilization, flying indoors requires more manual control and quick reaction times.
Pro Tip:
When flying in windy conditions, use GPS mode (if available) to stabilize your drone, but always be ready to switch to manual control in case of a GPS error.
