Advanced Maneuvers and Techniques

Precision Hovering

While it might seem basic, precision hovering is one of the most valuable skills to master as you progress to advanced flying. It’s especially important for filming, inspecting objects, or waiting for instructions in a search-and-rescue scenario.

How to Hover with Precision:

  1. Use minimal stick input to stabilize the drone.
  2. In windy conditions, compensate for drift by making small adjustments with the right stick (roll and pitch).
  3. Keep an eye on altitude and use the throttle to maintain a constant height.

Pro Tip:

If you're shooting video or photos, use GPS Mode to help the drone maintain position, but practice manual hovering to sharpen your control in challenging environments (e.g., indoors or areas without GPS signals).
