Advanced Techniques: Mastering Acro Mode for Full Manual Control
Stick Control in Acro Mode
Acro Mode requires precise stick movements. Let’s go over how each stick input affects the drone in Acro Mode, so you can practice fine-tuning your control.
Left Stick (Throttle and Yaw):
- Throttle: Controls how much lift the drone has. In Acro Mode, managing throttle is key to preventing hard landings or sudden ascents.
- Yaw: Controls the drone’s rotation around its vertical axis. In Acro Mode, yaw is crucial for turning the drone without changing its pitch or roll.
Practice Tip:
Start by hovering in place using throttle control alone. Adjust the throttle gently to find the sweet spot where the drone stays in the air without climbing or descending.
Right Stick (Pitch and Roll):
- Pitch: Tilts the drone forward or backward. Pitching forward causes the drone to accelerate, while pitching backward slows it down or makes it fly in reverse.
- Roll: Tilts the drone sideways, allowing you to bank left or right. Unlike Angle Mode, there are no limits to how far you can roll, which enables flips.
Practice Tip:
Start with small pitch and roll adjustments. Gently pitch forward, then roll left and right to practice controlling movement without over-tilting or losing orientation.
