Advanced Maneuvers and Techniques for Expert Drone Pilots

Rubiks Cube Maneuver

The Rubik’s Cube is a highly advanced trick in freestyle drone flying that combines flips and rolls in quick succession. It’s a showcase of skill and precision, requiring fast reactions and smooth transitions between multiple axes of movement.

How to Perform a Rubik’s Cube:

  1. Start with a Roll: Begin flying forward, then initiate a quick roll (right stick to the left or right) followed by a flip (right stick forward or backward).
  2. Execute a Flip: Once the drone completes the roll, pull back on the pitch stick to perform a forward or backward flip.
  3. Continue the Sequence: Complete another roll immediately after the flip to finish the sequence.

Example:

The Rubik’s Cube is commonly used in freestyle FPV flying competitions as a way to demonstrate fast, acrobatic control over the drone. It looks especially impressive when performed around objects like trees or buildings.
